Home Infusion Therapy is safe and effective, lowers the risk of infection, and has been shown to reduce rehospitalizations. If you are recovering from injury, being treated for an infection, or living with a chronic illness, home infusion therapy may be a safe and effective option for you. 

Infusion therapy involves the administration of medication through an IV or catheter. It is usually prescribed when a patient’s condition cannot be effectively treated with medication by mouth. Traditionally provided only in the hospital, infusion therapy can now be safely provided in the comfort of home, giving patients more freedom to continue to live independently.

If your physician recommends home infusion therapy, our specially-trained infusion team will partner with you to:

• Create an individualized care plan specific to your health needs and goals
• Provide education on how to administer the medication
• Monitor symptoms and make sure you are comfortable
• Determine frequency of home visits from your infusion nurse
• Maintain regular communication with your physician 
• Work closely with dedicated pharmacists to ensure your medication is safe and correct
